Sony Xperia P vs Nokia Lumia 800

Sony Xperia P and Nokia Lumia 800 Comparison
Both Sony Xperia P and Nokia Lumia 800 use different operating systems. Sony Xperia P uses Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS (Sony will provide an Android 4.0 ICS update), while Nokia Lumia 800 uses Windows Phone 7.5 OS.

Sony Xperia P has better performance because the device is powered by 1GHz dual core processor, Mali 400 MP GPU and 1GB RAM. Nokia Lumia 800 is powered by 1.4GHz single-core processor, Adreno 205 GPU and 512MB RAM. Both also have 16GB internal memory and they are not equipped with external memory slot.

Sony Xperia P has larger touch screen than Nokia Lumia 800 (4 inches vs. 3.7 inches). Sony Xperia P screen also has better resolution with 540 x 960 pixels resolution (275 ppi), and Nokia Lumia 800 has 480 x 800 pixels resolution (252 ppi). Sony Xperia P screen uses scratch-resistant glass and comes with Sony WhiteMagic and Mobile BRAVIA technology, while Nokia Lumia 800 screen uses Corning Gorilla Glass and comes with ClearBlack technology.

Both are equipped with powerful 8 MP camera. But Sony Xperia P camera is better because it has the ability to record 720 HD video, while Nokia Lumia 800 camera is only able to record 720p HD video. Sony Xperia P is also equipped with VGA front camera, while Nokia Lumia 800 does not have front camera.

For connectivity features, both are equipped with some features such as 3G network with HSDPA 14.4 Mbps and HSUPA 5.76 Mbps, Wi-Fi 802.11 b / g / n, Bluetooth 2.1, microUSB (Sony Xperia P is armored with USB-on-the-go), and GPS.

For battery capacity, Sony Xperia P is equipped with 1305mAh battery capacity, while Nokia Lumia 800 is equipped with 1450mAh battery capacity.

We prefer Sony Xperia P because it offers better features and cheaper price.
