Samsung Galaxy S III is the successor to the flagship smartphone Galaxy S II. what increasing bringing by Samsung's newest flagship compared to its predecessor? Let's see.
First, we are aware that Galaxy S III is larger than Galaxy S II. This is because Samsung Galaxy S III comes with larger touch screen measuring 4.8 inches, while Galaxy S II just has 4.3 inches screen. Both use Super AMOLED screen, but the Galaxy S III screen has higher resolution which is equal to 720 x 1280 pixels resolution than Galaxy S II, which is only 480 x 800 pixels. Plus, Samsung Galaxy S III screen is coated with Corning Gorilla Glass 2 which is more powerful than the existing Corning Gorilla Glass on the Galaxy S II.
For operating system, Samsung Galaxy S III is already using Android OS 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich, while Samsung Galaxy S II comes using OS Android 2.3 Gingerbread, but Samsung has provided an update to Android ICS smartphone.
If viewed from the chipset used, Samsung Galaxy S III perform two times faster than Galaxy S II. Samsung Galaxy S III uses Exynos 4212 Quad chipset with quad core processor 1.4GHz Cortex-A9, Mali-400 GPU and 1GB RAM. While Samsung Galaxy S II uses older Exynos chipset with dual core processor 1.2GHz Cortex-A9, Mali-400 GPU and 1GB RAM.
For the storage media, Galaxy S III also has capacity enhancement, the Samsung Galaxy S III provides some internal memory capacity options those are 16/32/64GB plus they comes with microSD slot up to 64GB. While Galaxy S II offers 16/32GB internal memory plus microSD slot up to 32GB.
Samsung Galaxy S III is able to run on 4G LTE networks, but for now the new 4G LTE network is only available in some countries.
Both Samsung Galaxy S III and Galaxy S II are equipped with 8 MP main camera with HD 1080 video recording capability. They are also equipped with front camera, but Galaxy S III front camera has the ability to record 720p HD video.
