Although both use OS Android 4.0 ICS, but both are powered by different chipset. HTC Desire V use Qualcomm MSM7227A chipset to support the Cortex-A5 1GHz processor and Adreno 200 GPU. While One V uses Qualcomm MSM8255 chipset with 1GHz processor and Adreno 205 GPU. Both are also equipped with 512MB RAM and 4GB internal memory plus microSD slot up to 32GB.
HTC Desire V comes with larger touch screen that is 4 inches with 480 x 800 pixels resolution (233ppi), while HTC One V has 3.7 inches touch screen with 480 x 800 pixels resolution (252ppi).
Both HTC Desire V and HTC One V are equipped with 5 MP camera. But HTC One V camera is better because it has the ability to record 720p HD video. Unfortunately they are not equipped with front camera.
Both smartphones are equipped with connectivity features like 3G HSDPA network, Wi-Fi with Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth, GPS, and microUSB port. And, HTC Desire V is dual SIM GSM + GSM smartphone, while HTC One V only has one SIM card slot.
For battery capacity, HTC Desire V comes with 1650mAh battery capacity, while HTC One V is equipped with 1500mAh battery capacity.
This time we choose HTC One V, because the price is cheaper plus it has better performance. But if you want dual SIM Android smartphone you can choose HTC Desire V.
